The first and most obvious problem with freemasonry is the taking upon yourself of the title “master”. In the very same translation used in masonic lodges, the King James Version says,

 ” Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.” – Matthew 23:10

Now these are the words and commands of Jesus Christ, the Word and Spirit of God incarnate, so they are to be taken seriously, if you want to be serious about God and the Bible (which freemasonry purports to do in using the bible in lodge rituals).

However freemasonry goes directly AGAINST these words and commands of Christ and the Bible as many honorific titles attributed to the mason specifically include the word Master.

The leader of the lodge is given the title “most worshipful master” at the end of the first three initiations the candidate is given the title “master mason”. A list of some more titles in masonry that directly disobey the command of Christ;

As you can see if you examine the structural chart of masonry below, the vast array of haughty titles is not limited to master either. There are many of the most glorious and self congratulatory titles one could imagine.

What is the purpose of this? It is to steadily puff up the pride of the individual and breed in them the delusion of self empowerment.

Another blaspheme and act of disobedience involved in freemasonry at the initial stages even is the taking of oaths. This is another thing Christ expressly commands against doing in the very Bible sitting under the square and compass in the lodge rituals.

 “Again, you have heard that it was said to those of ancient times, “You shall not swear falsely, but carry out the vows you have made to the Lord.’ But I say to you, Do not swear at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God,  or by the earth, for it is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black.  Let your word be “Yes, Yes’ or “No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one.  – Matthew 5:33-37

Interesting here that Jesus says anything beyond a yes or no, any oath or bound commitment is actually from the evil one, satan / lucifer.

The seriousness of oath taking is further affirmed by James, the brother of Jesus, son of Mary and Joseph and disciple;

Above all, my beloved, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “Yes” be yes and your “No” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation. – James 5:12

James states that oath making makes a person fall under condemnation, and it is clear he felt it a serious matter and teaching from Christ, enough to state “above all” do not do it.

In masonry complex death oaths are made at each stage of initiation and ritual.

To add to this initial warning of anti-christ and blaspheme there is also Christ’s warning about doing things in secret and thinking they are hidden;

Nothing is covered up that will not be uncovered, and nothing secret that will not become known. Therefore whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed from the housetops. – Luke 12:2-3

Clearly freemasonry is going against these three commands and instructions of Christ, who is God incarnate.

Why is this done? I believe it is actually an intentional mockery of Christ, God and the Bible, orchestrated by the ones who devised the rituals and system, relying on the spiritual and scriptural ignorance of the new candidates. Unbeknown to those who engage in freemason rituals, they are actually performing acts which go directly against the commands and words of Jesus, who is the word of God.

So even from an entry level perspective we can see that freemasonry is an organisation which incorporates traditions expressly condemned by Christ. If you are a believer in Christ and the bible please consider and review what has been written above. Accepting haughty titles, taking oaths and acting in secrecy are directly forbidden by Jesus. Jesus also says;

Jesus answered, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. – John 14:23

and

The one who doesn’t love Me will not keep My words. The word that you hear is not Mine but is from the Father who sent Me. – John 14:24

So this is a very serious business. It appears that from the get go freemasonry requires a person to transgress the commands of Jesus. Because most people are not well read biblically they go along with this. They think that because there is a Bible involved in the oath taking ritual that it must be above board and godly, when in fact the very practices partaken are unbiblical.

Further evidence that freemasonry is incompatible with the Bible, Christianity and faith in the one true God is revealed in a later stage of ritual initiation. From the book Duncan’s Masonic Ritual and Monitor, by Malcom C. Duncan, [1866], we find that at the “royal arch” or seventh degree of york rite freemasonry the candidate is told ;

“High Priest (to candidates.)–Companions, here are three mysterious words, in a triangular form, upon the Ark, which, when first found, were covered with three squares, the jewels of our three ancient Grand Masters; and from this circumstance, we supposed it to be the long-lost Master Mason’s word; and, on applying our Key to it, it proved our suspicions to be correct. It is the name of Deity in three languages, viz., Chaldaic, Hebrew, and Syriac, which is the long-lost Master Mason’s word, or Logos, and has now become the Grand Omnific Royal Arch word.” page 249

This part of the ritual claims that the secret name of God is actually a combination of the names of God in three different languages, and therefor cultures, 1 Chaldaic, 2. Hebrew, 3. Syriac

and the royal arch degree continues saying..

“… They balance in the same manner, and then, with hands raised, repeat the words Jah-buh-lun, Jehovah, G-o-d, at low breath” page 250

So at the royal arch degree the name of god is revealed as “Jah-buh-lun”. However this can have several pronunciations and the notes in this book attempt to clarify this by saying;

“But the Royal Arch Degree is founded on the number three, and therefore each member of the word ought to have been triliteral. Among the Syrians, the Chaldeans, the Phœnicians and others, the ineffable name of the Deity was Bel, Bal, Bul, Baal, or Belin. . . . Again, the Egyptians and Hindoos reverenced On or Om, i.e., Aun, or Aum, as the name of their chief Deity.” – page 15 of The Insignia by Dr. Oliver, Royal arch freemason

So the secret word for God revealed in freemasonry is better rendered  “Jah baal Om” – a combination of hebrew and other pagan nations titles for deity. This is clearly unworkable biblically and is the philosophical introduction of theosophy or new age universalism which teaches all cultural deities are speaking of the same one God. This however is not the case and the same Bible, in which these rituals are performed in front of, is very clear in the God of the hebrews being the one true God and that all other gods are false and should not be worshipped.

So this is again a case of blaspheme in masonic ritual, practice and belief. Here are some scriptures which make it clear there is only one true creator God of spirit and condemn the false pagan gods which are idols.

Do not have other gods besides Me. – Exodus 20:3 (The 1st of the 10 commandments written by the very finger of God)

 So Jacob said to his family and all who were with him, “Get rid of the foreign gods that are among you. Purify yourselves and change your clothes. – Genesis 35:2

 

“I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night and strike every firstborn male in the land of Egypt, both man and beast. I am •Yahweh; I will execute judgments against all the gods of Egypt – Exodus 12:12  (God and the Bible condemns the gods of egypt directly, which is in total contradiction with freemasonry’s attempt to unify them as the same god)

The acceptance of such a doctrine of spiritual unification with pagan gods relies again upon the candidates spiritual and scriptural ignorance. As has been demonstrated, the Bible clearly condemns the worship and recognition of pagan gods, but freemasonry leads to their recognition and exaltation as equivalent with Yahwey, I AM THAT I AM – the One true God of Spirit in the Bible. This is another example of where the bible is being used in masonic lodges, but the rituals and philosophies engaged in go directly against what it says.

Another anti-biblical aspect of freemasonry is the famous masonic eye, also included on the american one dollar bill, termed “the eye of providence”. This is acknowledged to be a depiction of God, however the Bible again is very clear about not making any image in an attempt to depict God. This is because the true creator is Spirit and not limited or defined by a created form.

Do not make an idol for yourself, whether in the shape of anything in the heavens above or on the earth below or in the waters under the earth. – Exodus 20:4 (The second of the 10 commandments)

To represent God by any shape “in the heavens above” or “on the earth below” is again direct disobedience to the Bible. As humans and the human eye are “on the earth below” this is clearly the breaking of this command. Whatsmore, the image of that of a human eye, which entails the subliminal implication that man is god, or that man can become god which is the eventual teaching of theosophy, hermeticism and mormonism. This was the original lie told by satan through the serpent in the garden of eden to Eve. Part of satan’s temptation to eve was the promise of becoming god-like. It is this ambition which underlies the doctrine of illuminism, self enlightenment and ascension into divinity, disregarding the one true eternal creator God as God alone.

So the depiction of God as an eye within a pyramid is a direct blaspheme to God. The eye is human, and what it is saying in reality is that man is god or that man can become a god.

Now I would like to focus on the famous masonic logo, the square and compass.
